From award winning winemaker, Johannes Leitz from the world-famous vineyards of the Rasheim region in Germany comes Eins Zwei Zero, an award winning premium alcohol-free Riesling.
Winemaker Comments
This Eins Zwei Zero Riesling is very fresh and has typical hints of limes and citrus fruits on the nose, with surprising notes of rhubarb and red apples.
It has a very refreshing mineral component and shows a dry and long finish.
The alcohol in this wine is removed through gentle vacuum distillation which preserves the natural and fruity Riesling aromas.
UK wine critic Jonathan Reeve writes in his regular My Recommendations: 0% alcohol. Crisply refreshing, clearly Riesling, and very grapey.
Faint notes of lime juice and white peach and a slight spritz (confirmed by the faint but distinct hiss on re-opening the bottle two days later).
As with all dealcoholised wines I have tried, there is a textural hole where the alcohol weight should be, but there is enough flavour generally to compensate for this.
